The initial display showcases the first eight presidents in random order, allowing users to engage interactively by dragging the card corresponding to each president’s designated sequence number to a central badge displayed on the screen.

If a user encounters difficulty or is unfamiliar with certain presidents, the app features a "Study Mode" that organizes the presidents sequentially. This mode provides detailed information such as political affiliation, years in office, terms served, and sequence number, enhancing the learning experience. Users have the flexibility to start on any page via an adjustable slider.

The app offers additional functionalities through "POTUS in Order Premium." Subscribers gain access not only to Vice President and First Lady details but also information on birth dates, age at inauguration, and previous political positions held by each president. A notable feature allows users to take personal notes for individualized learning.

Context-sensitive buttons enable users to explore various categories of presidents based on specific traits. For instance, tapping on Theodore Roosevelt will provide a list of all presidents who were inaugurated in their 40s. Such intuitive navigation enhances user engagement and aids in the retention of historical facts.
